About Phillip

I was trained in Southern California and West Texas and live and work in Austin, Texas.  I benefitted from a family that supported my early artistic development and from surroundings and travels that broadened my horizons.  My work concentrates on representational portraiture of human animals and pets and subjects from nature in a wide variety of mediums.  I’m also interested in hyper realism verging on the abstract.  Whether it is portraying a chimpanzee and his actress compatriot, a weathered cow hand in front of a greasy spoon, a pile of saltine crackers or an island in Southeast Asia my work spans different subject matter without being constrained by a set style.

I plan some future offerings in the digital art auction marketplace. Check back for updates.
